Aerodrome

Aranjuez Air Park’s runway for lightweight light aircraft that has been in private use for about 40 years and it is registered with the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC). Currently the aerodrome has a rolling surface of natural grass (zacate), 20 meters wide by 750 meters long, which will be geographically relocated by modifying its coordinates in order to expand the tread strip to 915 meters with asphalt, and demarcation according to applicable standards and runway lighting for night traffic.

For the construction process, the existing track is considered in terms of the sub-base and the existing base of relocated material and the placement of material for the sub-base and base of the extension up to 915 meters, always with a width of 20 meters.

Once placed and compacted at 95% P.S., both layers of material will proceed with the placement of an asphalt layer 0.03 cm thick and 20 meters wide by 915 meters long.  It will have its proper pumping from the center of the court to its sides.   

Having the asphalt layer properly placed, the runway demarcation will proceed according to the aviation standards indicated in the construction plans and with specific paints for the type of use mentioned.
